It has been brought to my attention that my story may imply that rape and sexual abuse are acceptable. This was not my intent. I DO NOT condone rape or child abuse. This is fictional work and the actions undertaken by the characters are part of a larger plot line. The people who undertake these actions are not nice people.
World building:
1. Vampires produce high levels of sexual pheremones to attract human prey. This has affect of producing instant lust in the average human.
2. Vampire law prohibits vampires from having children with each other and with different colors.
3. Aaron is a teenager. He confuses the artificially induced lust with love because of his inexperience.
4. Ice is young and relatively untrained. He also confuses lust with love. He cannot control the amount of pheromones he produces. Older vampires can.
5. Vampires have the ability to mentally control people and other, weaker vampires. This is form of mental rape and is frowned on by vampiric law.
