The Story of Ice and Aaron

Chapter 157

The silence stretched out for what seemed like hours, but was only minutes before Byron could make his vocal cords work.

“I-I-I s-s-still h-h-have t-t-to s-s-say ‘n-n-no’.”

“Pity. Refusal is not an option.” Kory’s grip on Byron’s wrist tightened and abruptly he used that to twist Byron around and push him against the counter top. Byron struggled futilely against the vampire’s greater strength, but to no avail. Kory pulled his arm upward increasing the pain and discomfort. Still restraining Byron, Kory reached around and grasped Byron’s zipper with his free hand. A quick tug and the pants loosened.

“N-n-no,” Byron protested feebly as Kory shoved his pants to the floor. He could feel the roughness of Kory’s pants against his naked buttocks. Kory had never been so rough, so domineering before with him. Under different circumstances, it might have even been arousing, but now, all Byron could feel was terror.

“Mmm, you smell good.” Kory snuggled closer to him and lightly ran his tongue along the rapid pulse in Byron’s jugular vein.

“P-p-please d-d-don’t d-d-do th-th-this.”

“Byron, you exist solely at my pleasure. If it pleases me to have sex, we will have sex. My pleasure is the only concern.” Byron could hear the familiar sound of a zipper being undone behind him. Soon, something long and hard was poking him. Kory wedged Byron’s cheeks open and began rubbing himself slowly along the crack. Byron felt his cheeks become hot as he realized he was becoming aroused by this. His erection pressed uncomfortably against the counter.

Kory used his hand to guide his erection to Byron’s opening. A quick, hard thrust left him sheathed in Byron’s body. He began moving hard and fast. The violence of the sex made Byron cry out. He fervently hoped that Kory would finish soon. As the assault continued, he remembered that vampires could control their release. This would continue as long as Kory wished it to.

Byron felt a warm liquid begin to run down his leg. A brief glance made him swallow hard to prevent himself from vomiting. He was bleeding. Byron watched in horrid fascination at the trickle of blood running down his leg while Kory continued to pound inside him. He gave one last thrust and spilled his seed deep inside Byron’s battered body.

Kory picked Byron up and carried him into their bedroom. He gently put him on the bed. Byron didn’t even try to resist as Kory stripped him and slowly licked the blood off. His arm ached and there was a dull throbbing sensation in his abdomen.

“Next time you try to resist, you’ll feel true pain,” his husband warned.

Byron awkwardly turned onto his side. As he lay there curled up in pain, slow, silent tears made their way down his cheeks to drip onto the pillow.

Chapter 156

Byron washed another dish and put it on the rack to dry. He tried to ignore the screaming and the fighting in the background. He was tired of cooking and cleaning and disciplining his children. Five sons in nine years were enough to make anyone irritable.
“Hello, lover,” Kory put his arms around him. He shoved him away. Lately he’d grown to hate it when Kory was in an amorous mood. Sex led to pregnancy which led to more children and more work for him. Kory was great about playing with the children and even disciplined them when needed, but he refused to pick up so much as a dirty sock.
“What’s wrong, Byron?” Kory turned him to look him in the eyes.
“N-nothing,” he muttered, turning back to the sink full of dirty dishes.
“You’re lying. I can always tell. Something is wrong.” Kory kissed him on the back of his neck. Byron couldn’t help the shiver of pleasure that ran up his spine. The man certainly knew which buttons to press to arouse him.
“S-stop it. I’m n-not in the m-mood.”
“I can get you in the mood,” he whispered sliding his hands under Byron’s shirt.
“I s-said, s-stop it! I d-don’t w-want t-to have s-sex with you r-right n-now,” Byron said with gritted teeth. The vampire behind him went really still.
“You really don’t mean that, Byron,” Kory said in a low voice.
“I r-really d-do. I’ve b-been s-slaving away all d-day t-to c-care for the b-boys and I’m t-tired.”
“Then sex is just what you need to make you feel better.”
“N-not t-tonight. B-besides won’t your ‘f-f-friend’ m-miss you?”
“What friend?” Kory asked menace in his voice.
“The one with r-red hair who l-left her lipstick on your c-collar.”
“Oh, that. That’s just sex. It doesn’t mean anything. I get lonely when you’re pregnant.”
“Then why k-keep m-me p-pregnant if you g-get so ‘l-lonely’?”
“Byron, Byron, Byron, I have needs. You can’t always satisfy those needs, so I find someone who can.”
“How d-do you know I c-can’t s-satisfy your n-needs? You’ve n-never even asked m-me,” Byron accused. “I’m n-n-not having s-s-sex with you unless you wear a c-c-condom and I want t-t-to g-g-go on the P-p-pill.”
“No.”
Byron stared at Kory in shock. He thought it perfectly reasonable to go on the Pill to reduce the odds of another pregnancy. Kory had said he wanted lots of children, but Byron thought five was enough for now. The vampire looked adamant about his refusal. For the first time in a long time, Byron felt a chill run down his spine. The way Kory was looking at him reminded him that vampires were predators and humans were their prey. Blade had never looked at him that way and Ice had done so only rarely.
“I-I-I m-m-mean it. N-n-no m-m-more ch-ch-children f-f-for n-n-now.”
Kory smiled at him, a slow, predatory smile. “I said ‘No’.” He gently stroked Byron’s cheek and trailed his fingers down his arm to encircle his wrist in a firm grasp. “You seem to have forgotten that I brought you here for only one purpose, if you are no longer willing to fulfill that purpose, I have no more use for you. If I have no more use for you, I’ll dispose of you, permanently.”
“Y-y-you n-n-need m-m-me t-t-to t-t-take c-c-care of th-th-the ch-ch-children,” Byron whispered.
Kory shrugged. “Not really. Caesar’s old enough to be weaned. I can hire a nanny for them and a housekeeper for the rest of the things you do around here. I’m certainly capable of finding a sex partner. You’re not indispensable.”
“Wh-wh-what w-w-would y-y-you t-t-tell th-th-them?”
“Oh, probably that you fell and unfortunately died. Most of them are too young to know any better.” Kory replied carelessly.
Byron felt cold. His husband had obviously thought about killing him and how he would explain it to the children. As an old and powerful vampire, he could certainly make them believe it…

Chapter 155

Ice paced nervously outside the Council chambers. He had petitioned for Ben’s divorce from Blizzara for months. Now the moment of truth had arrived. He checked his cell phone again for messages. Nothing. Blizzara had gone into labor just as the meeting had started. Ben had accompanied her to the hospital with Aaron and Onyx. Nadia was babysitting Caitlin. Blade was in with the Council. Never had Ice felt so alone.
“Well?” He demanded when Blade walked out of the room.
“The marriage will be dissolved on the child’s first birthday. It’s over. She’ll be gone from our lives.”
   “And the children?”
“Ben has custody of them as well.”
“Any news of Byron and Burke?”
“No.” But Ice could see concern in Blade’s eyes.
   “What else is wrong?”
“It could be nothing, but the seers have found some indications of demonic activity.”
   “Demons? They actually exist?”

Blade laughed, “Sometimes I forget how young you are. Yes, they exist. I thought the knowledge of how to summon them had been lost as well.”
   “Lost? Or deliberately destroyed?”
“The latter. The sorcerers who summoned them caused many problems. The Council hunted down the sorcerers and killed them and destroyed their grimoires. Any time they find someone who’s been dabbling in such things, they kill them. Some things are best forgotten.”
“And if someone’s raising demons again?”
“If a demon mates with someone on this plane, the resulting child could wreak havoc on the world before it’s stopped.”
  “How often has that happened?”
“It’s been millennia. It requires a virginal child of both human and vampire or werewolf blood. That’s one reason why we’re discouraged from having children.”
  Ice felt cold. “Burke is…”
“Yes. He is. However, Turquoise has never shown any interest in demons before. I think it’s highly unlikely that he’s been summoning them.”
“He’s determined to fulfill the prophecy using his own flesh and blood. Why wouldn’t he add a little demonic blood to the mix?”
The question hung in the air. The tension was broken abruptly by the loud ringing of Ice’s cell phone.

“It’s Ben. She’s given birth. You have a grandson, Cyril.”

Chapter 154

Blade looked up from his book at a knock on the door.
“Can I come in?” Ice poked his head in.
   “Sure, what’s up?”
“Aaron and I had a fight.”
“You act like that’s never happened before.”
“Well, it hasn’t. Not like this. He’s never been this angry at me before.”
   “What did you do?”
“What makes you think I did anything?”
Blade glared at the younger vampire, “People do not get angry for no reason.”
“I told him about Turquoise. About him being alive. About him possibly being behind the boys’ disappearances.”
Blade rolled his eyes. “And you’re honestly don’t know why he’s mad at you?”
“No, I get it. It’s just that this might be it. I’m not sure if he’ll ever forgive me for not telling him immediately.”
Blade pulled him down to the bed. “I’m sorry. But you’re not entirely to blame. We both agreed not to tell them. Not it’s coming back to bite us.”
They lay there silently for a long time. Blade was content to simply hold Ice. Ice was always so reserved, Blade sometimes forgot the man had feelings like anyone else. He might not show them, but he had them.
A knock on the door interrupted his musings. “Come in.”
“Hey, Dad, can I speak to you?” Ben slipped into the room, closing the door behind him.
“Sure. Do you want Ice to leave?”
“No, he can stay. It’s vampire stuff I want to talk about.”
   “Oh?”
“I know the Council really wants this marriage and all, but it’s not working out. I hate her. I want a divorce.”
“You would abandon your pregnant wife?”
“No. I’d wait until after the child’s born, but she can’t stay here with me afterwards. I want custody of our children. I’m the one who’s cared for Caitlin. All she did was give birth to her.”
“Hey, don’t knock it.” Ice spoke up. “They call it labor for a reason.”
“Yeah, but you’ve done more for me than she’s ever done for her daughter and I’m not even your son.”
“True. I have no objection. I can’t stand her either.”
Blade glared at his lover and son. “You know that the Council has to approve.”
“Why wouldn’t they? We have two children.”
“Again, true. Their purpose in marrying Ben off has been accomplished and maybe…” Ice trailed off. Blade knew what the other man was thinking. Maybe getting Ben out of his marriage would help heal Ice’s relationship with Aaron.

Chapter 153

Aaron idly tugged at the weeds in his garden. Ben’s wife was pregnant with their second child. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t warm up to his daughter-in-law. He hated the Council for insisting on the match. Ben wasn’t happy, Blizzara wasn’t happy and most of all Caitlin wasn’t happy. She was too young to understand why her parents fought all the time. Aaron cursed as the weeds cut his hands.
“You should watch your language. You never know who might be listening. It’s bad enough that Blade swears like a sailor in front of Caitlin, she really doesn’t need to learn it from you too.”
Aaron smiled up at Ice. “You’re right. I wasn’t thinking. Or rather I was thinking about Ben and Blizzara. Why on earth was she chosen as his mate?”
“The Council has its reasons,” Ice replied neutrally.
Aaron narrowed his eyes at his husband. “You know something. Spill it.”
“Aaron, I can’t. It’s Council business,” Ice sighed.
“This is my child we’re talking about! If it affects him, I have a right to know.”
“Fine. Blizzara was suspected of being involved in my abduction. The only evidence linking her was circumstantial at best and the Council decided not to punish her. The man who abducted me escaped from custody. The Council thinks he is behind Byron and Burke’s disappearances. In order to counteract the possibility of him fathering a child on them, the Council decided to marry off someone with mixed bloodlines, so the next generation will have three colors in their blood. Ben was the only one available.”
Aaron stared at Ice and began cursing softly using all the vocabulary he had learned from Blade over the years.
   “Aaron, calm down.”
“No, I will not calm down! You sold my son because you and your bloody Council can’t manage to kill one bloody vampire! Now my sons are in danger and you didn’t even bother to tell me! How long have you known that that madman was free?”
   “Um,” Ice hesitated.
“Forget it! Get out of my sight!” Aaron turned away to hide his tears. How could Ice and Blade conceal this from him? He felt incredibly betrayed that Ice could do this to him after almost forty years of marriage.
“Aaron, are you okay?” Onyx wrapped his arms around his lover.
   “No. Did you know?”
“Know about what?” Onyx sounded confused.
“About the madman who kidnapped Ice being alive and free and m-maybe responsible for my sons’ disappearances.”
Onyx tightened his arms around Aaron. “No. I didn’t know that. Ice told you this? How long has he known about it?”
“Yes. I don’t know. He didn’t say. But it’s been at least six years.”
Onyx swore. “I suppose Blade knows as well?”
“Yeah. I was thinking we should spike their plasma juice with garlic.”
Onyx laughed, “Petty. It wouldn’t work. They’d smell the garlic.”
“Yeah, well, I’m feeling a little petty right now.”
“I know what you mean. They had no right to keep this from us, especially when it puts our children in danger.”

Chapter 152

“Here we are again,” Blizzara remarked, “It’s your eighteenth birthday and it’s time to have another child.”
“Go away, Blizzara, I’m not interested,” Ben said crossly. The last thing he wanted was to screw her.
She sat down on the bed beside him. “Now, now, Bennie, don’t be like that. I know we’ve had our difficulties in the past, but you don’t really hate me, do you?”
“I find you disgusting, repulsive and the last person on earth I would sleep with.”
She laughed softly, “Your mouth is saying ‘no’, but this,” she ran a finger up Ben’s penis which responded eagerly, “is saying ‘yes’.”
“Don’t touch me,” he shoved her hand away from his body.
“Ooh, rough. I can do rough.” She leaned over to kiss him. He jerked away from her. She pinned his wrists to the bed and bit his neck. He gasped and arched his back. Nothing had prepared him for what it felt like to be fed on by a vampire. She drew back from his neck, mouth covered with blood. She kissed him. The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. Hands tugged at his clothing. He gasped as her hand wrapped around his erection.
“Please,” he begged. He wasn’t sure if he wanted her to stop or not. She only paused long enough to tear off her own clothing before resuming where she left off. He caressed her buttocks as she straddled him. Then it was over and he was left feeling vaguely disappointed. The physical release had been intense but something was missing.
